Maintenance
What should I do in case of a malfunction?
- Call Renter at phone number: 069333926, in case of any malfunction of the electric bike or accessories, that occurs during the rental period. Under no circumstances should you abandon the rented electric bike and accessories due to malfunction, nor should you continue using them.
What happens if the damages are so extensive that the repair will take longer?
- If repairing the bike will take a long time, we can offer another electric bike, depending on availability.
Who covers the maintenance costs of the bike?
- If it is normal wear resulting from usual use, we will always cover the cost of the repair.
- In case repairs are needed due to an accident, the party responsible for the accident is liable.
Accidents and Theft
What should I do if I'm involved in an accident?
- In case of any injuries, please contact the ambulance first. Regardless of who is at fault, always contact the local police and – if the rented electric bike is damaged, or you are unable to use the electric bike due to injuries, contact us mandatorily at 069333926.
What should I know if I caused an accident myself?
- In this case, you assume responsibility. This generally includes the obligation to repair any damages and losses suffered by third parties.
- If you have personal third-party liability insurance, your insurance might cover the damages caused to third parties for you. Additionally, you are responsible for compensating for damages caused to the rented bike.
What should I do if the electric bike or its accessories are stolen?
- Please notify us immediately at 069333926. Then, report the theft to the local police. In addition, we will ask you to bring back the key of the bike lock and battery lock to our location.
- In case of theft, you will have to pay compensation as mentioned in the Terms and Conditions.
Usage Process
What is included in the rental price?
- The rental price includes the following: electric bike, detachable battery, battery charger, anti-theft chain, phone holder, pump, pump adaptor, battery key, anti-theft chain key.
- Renter offers free maintenance, which consists of periodic replacement of certain consumable elements of the bike: chain, brake pads, brake fluid, tires, gear shifter, and others.
How to use the anti-theft device?
- When parking the electric bike, you are obliged to ensure that all safety measures are taken.
- Each electric bike provided by Renter comes equipped with an anti-theft system, which offers increased protection. In a resting state, the electric bike must be locked with the anti-theft device. The anti-theft device should secure the frame and the body to which the bike is locked in such a way that the established connection can only be destroyed by forcing with special tools, one of the previously mentioned elements. The body to which the bike is secured must be solid, not removable or destructible without special tools, and sufficiently high or constructed so that the bike cannot be lifted over it. This can be omitted only if the bike is parked appropriately in a locked room, which is used only by you, members of your family, or other people living in the same household. When the bike is in a locked room of an accommodation unit, it is sufficient for the anti-theft device to secure only the bike frame and the rear wheel.
How do I charge the Renter electric bike?
- After signing the electric bike rental contract, you will also receive a charging cable. You can detach the battery or charge it while it is attached to the bike. If you choose to detach it, make sure you lock the battery lock when you reconnect it.
Am I allowed to offer or rent the electric bike to someone else?
- Only the person who signed the rental contract is allowed to use the bike.
